Red Bull The Edge
Red Bull The Edge was created by Stefan Lauper and Conuelo Frauenfelder (Garidi Films) and produced by Red Bull Switzerland in cooperation with the Museum of Transport Lucerne. In July 2020, Red Bull athlete and freerider Jérémie Heitz and Zermatt mountain guide Sam Anthamatten will climb the Matterhorn together with the famous alpinist and VR filmmaker Jonathan Griffith, all filmed in 360°.
Red Bull The Edge – powered by HP
The VR experience was built on a 3D photogrammetry scan of the Matterhorn and a total of over 14,000 square kilometers of mountain ranges - mapped by senseFly and fixed-wing drones. To bring the elaborate technology to life, Red Bull uses technology from HP, among others. The climber will be equipped with high-end VR backpacks from HP and matching VR goggles.
