High performance in the desktop workstation segment has a name: HP Z-Workstations of the 5th generation. They stand for the latest CPU, graphics and memory technologies. And that means more possibilities for designers, architects, engineers and data specialists.

Even the "small" HP Z4 G5 is easily capable of demanding workflows like video editing or machine learning. The most important innovations compared to the G4 models: the latest generation of Xeon W processors, more processor cores, additional accelerators integrated into the CPU and overall higher computing power. The result: a massive increase in performance, which is required for demanding tasks in visual content editing, technical applications and scientific computing.

The Intel Xeon W-2400 processor, which already caused a stir under the development name Sapphire Rapids, has a major share in these performance leaps in the HP Z4 G5. It has everything ready to run the next generation of computing-intensive applications for professionals. In the maximum configuration, the new "Z by HP Performance Desktop" comes with the Intel processor with 24 cores, 512 GB Ram distributed over eight DIMM slots and up to 76 TB mass storage. In addition, the motherboard can be equipped with two graphics cards: Nvidia RTX series and AMD Radeon RX series in the high-end, Nvidia T series in the mid-range and entry-level. That's the power you need today for VFX, 3D rendering, complex 3D CAD work and AI development.

The performance package in tower format comes up with numerous other goodies. Five PCIe ports provide speed. Wi-Fi 6 is also newly integrated - this makes the workstation independent of network cables and able to work from almost anywhere without occupying a PCIe slot. The Z by HP Data Science Stack Manager can be integrated especially for data science professionals: It provides easy access to common AI and developer tools under Ubuntu Linux or Windows with WSL 2 and automatically keeps them up to date.

All users benefit from other special features. For example, from the intelligent fan control, which ensures whisper-quiet operation with more than 20 temperature sensors. Or the HP Anywhere Remote System Controller. This all-in-one solution from HP gives IT administrators a management tool to perform administrative tasks such as BIOS updates or re-imaging from anywhere via a single dashboard. In addition, it is possible to manage multiple devices through a few interfaces. This means that the Z4 G5 can now be controlled remotely, as a standalone device or in a fleet.

The Z4 G5 is built to last. It has been tested 360,000 hours to military standards and is certified for professional users. It also stands up well in terms of security, with HP Wolf Security for Business providing complete all-around protection. HP's design engineering combined with the power of Intel and Nvidia delivers the performance, scalability and security that demanding users expect from a Z4 G5-class workstation.
